Egypt .. Land of Temples, Mummies &

Was here in Egypt from July to November 2009.. It was for the El Araby Project.

Egypt is a nice place.. Very friendly people and more or less, looks like Bombay with a good night life.. Have been to different places.. a lot of history, a place of antiquities, pyramids, land of temples… Famous for the Red Sea and the historic nile river. Ofcourse, once you go about and see those Museums and go through some books, it`ll be painful to see how a civilization has been lost. A civilization which contributed to the science of Mummification and the Engineering marvel for the construction of greatest pyramid is totally lost. & several libraries burnt and brutalized during the times of crusade there by losing a wealth of knowledge. Surely, one would wonder, had we not lost the knowledge, may be, the human civilization might would have been lot different now.

Egypt as of now is certainly a place to be, with its friendly people who`ll go out of the way to help. & the people are very helpful, jovial and with a remarkable sense of humour. Not really expensive so as to say, but not cheaper too.. Though an Islamic country, its not too conservative and people are welcoming, especially foreigners. Wine is available across the counter in cairo.

Some must things to do being that of Nile Criuse, Visiting the pyramids, the museums and the red sea, to name a few.Egypt is a nice place.. & also i did make new friends in the project.. overall a nice experience except that we had an inexperienced, dumb PMO...

Rhudeshiem, Off Frankfurt

This was my4th visit to Germany and i have been to this place called Rhudeshiem, off frankfurt. The trip was nice a different experience and this small town runs in parllel to the river rhine. The mountain, river, the rail & the road, all run in Parllel.. and there are quite a few forts dotting these mountains which makes this place all that special.. Clean and Green, its a different experience.

Came here on the Fresenius Assignment and I met some very interesting Germans. My opinion like many others was Germans are all too serious of life & indifferent to others, working with Clock Precision (like the famous German Engineering).

But well, time to change the perception. Met a special person here, we (my other indian colleagues) named him as "German Gandhi". He`s among oldest employees of my large organization (Must have moved along the Founder of SAP, for sure). & yet, Gentle & Soft, no ego, Lots of Patience, Caring, & always with a sincere smile.

Also, the team that we had were good people.. Never was the experience working with people that good.

Now its time to move on from this assignment and the next assignment is going to be Cairo, Egypt..

Bangalore Aero India 2009 Show.

The surya kirans performing... and the Indian TriColor..

The BAE Spy Planes.. UAV`s

The Cobra Maneuvour..
The Euro Fighter Typhoon..

The Sukhoi.. SU30MKI

The Russian Attack Helicopter..

Been to the Bangalore Aero India 2009 on 14th Feb.. Amazing Flying Machines.. The Sukhoi`s, MIG`s, F16IN, F35`s, EuroFighers, Missile systems, Spy planes, Radars, c130`s, Apache etc were all there.. This was the biggest ever airshow in bangalore so far..
Show went really well.. Cobra Manuvour of the SU-30MKI was a the highlight.. Was able to take some photos but couldn`t really match the speed of the planes.. And the 360mm lenses weren`t quick enough.. Calls for a upgrade of the Cam..
Another :( of the show was that it was poorly organized.. The food court was overcrowded, lotz of confusion at entry points as the Sign Boards were wrong.. The One way traffic literally messed things further.. Too much security.. (Courtesy the Militant Pakistanis).

German Trip for Fresenius Assignment

A very short visit to Germany in January 2009.. Didn`t carry my Camera, so no photos posted... It was bitter cold.. and I was told its coldest winter in the last few years..
Am trying to put my opinion here, of what i felt during my previous visits. This time around, The Team Lead and the colleagues from the FICO Team were very friendly and cordial. Especially, one colleague, a very senior consultant, there`s so much to learn from him. He`s the German version of Gandhi. He did have a lasting impression on all of us. May God Bless him..
All the FICO german consultants always had a smile, which was never the case in all my previous visits. Infact, they themselves had invited us for an evening out which we really did enjoy, with some Apple Wine. Though my colleagues from other modules weren`t that lucky. All my Indian Colleagues agree, that my module team was the best even in their past experience of working in Germany so far.

My Dubai Trip.. for the Nissan Project

Dad in Dubai and Sharjah...

Been to Dubai & taken dad along with me.. The weather was real real hot.. Dubai has all the characteristics of mini Mumbai.. Went there for the Nissan Assignment for 4 months. Been to Desert Safari and the photos are here.. Desert Safari is fun.. Met some interesting people from the Nissan Team.. People were cordial.. .. Watched some cricket matches (20:20) matches there.. It was fun..

The Project wasn`t difficult, but it took lot of time due to Nissan Team`s busy schedule..

SAP MINA Team were cool.. and very easy going.. Mostly all of em are Indians.. There was little interference in our job.. All in All, everything went well. & i became father while i was in Dubai.

I have been to Kish Island, Iran which in my opinion is a God foresaken place.. Was there for less than a day.. but was frustated enough. People were being treated like animals.. Men and Women separated by gun weilding police at the airport in the kish island & women forced to wear burqas.. Felt it was some sort of uncivilized place.. Finding Indian food is a problem.. & pledge to never go there again.

Sun, Sand & Sea

Borakay is in all ways perfect. The scene is perfect. The sand is white and super soft, feels like sponge and the sea blue. Sun was bright and hot, so was humid, sweaty and irritating at times, but u`ll forget all that what with the innumerous hot gals walking around in 2 peice or 1 peice and sometimes no peice.. :)

So the heat is welcomingly acceptable. Wonderful. But just be careful if ur alone as lotz of gays around. Some of my shots of camera are up in the blog.

More shots will come

Real Cause of Global Warming!!

The 1st one is the Back of Gypny and the next one, the front. This is a very strange, rugged looking Vehicle, which is a cross breed of a SUV & MiniBus. Its lenghthier than a SUV but shorter than Mini Bus & can accomodate some 20 people. Noisy, but travels pretty fast, & a popular mode of transport here in Manila.. Phillipines.

German Assignment comes to close

Me & Dad returning Home.. After a very successful trip. Photos taken at Frankfurt Airport.. we took a train from Weisloch Walldorf to Frankfurt. The Assignment also went well, except for some last minute hickups.. & a few problems with the hotel that i stayed.. I got a good friend of Pankaj in that assignment. & was able to fulfill my dream of taking my dad to Europe.. Though it cost me money.. but then that`s ok.. I realized my dream..
